Infobahn to hit Dubai at GITEX 2006
Launch of local IIUG chapter in Dubai

Based on a successful series of events in the US and Europe, the Informix InfoBahn now comes to Dubai at the GITEX 2006 on November 20, 2006. Co-sponsored by Gillani Inc, a Premier Business partner in the US, Infobahn will give you a chance to meet senior IBM executives, and to get informed on the Informix product road map, future releases, and how the powerful backing of the IBM Software Group is a value to you as an IBM/Informix customer.

Customers and business partners will have a better understanding of the future direction of Informix technology with pertinent and actionable information they need to make decisions on their database solutions. You will get to learn about new services packages, and more ways to integrate new leading edge technology into their database, as well as the overall middleware strategy of IBM.

There will be a variety of guest speakers from IBM Development and Marketing, and IBM Business Partners presenting IBM's plans for the Informix product range now and in the future.

The sessions will be followed by the launching of the local chapter of IIUG in Dubai.  

Session topics covered will include IBM/Informix technology updates, product road maps for Informix databases, future visions, details about the brand new version of IDS, Cheetah (features, benefits and upgrades), Informix-4GL Development, and Application Development using FourGen CASE Tools, and information on other software offerings from IBM.

• Bashar Kilani – Manager of IBM Software Business, Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan, based in Dubai , United Arab Emirates
  
• John Pickford -  John has been working in a variety of IBM technical positions including support, porting, advanced technology (benchmarking and PoCs). His has been working on Practical Applications of IDS Extensibility, particularly in areas of finance, industrial and analytics, and is considered a foremost subject matter expert in database technologies. John is based in IBM, Feltham, UK.
  
• Syed Kamal - Syed Kamal, CEO Gillani, Inc. Richardson, TX, USA -  Kamal has over 12 years of application development experience ranging from strategic systems planning to process management. Kamal helped number of Fortune500 companies develop business critical applications.
  
• Bill Percival – Senior Solutions Consultant, Gillani, Inc. Richardson, TX -  Bill has been instrumental in creating the 4GL based ERP applications using FourGen CASE Tools.
